I've tried the free version of the forum software, and think it's quite good. Especially for website integration. My question though, do you have any plans, or have you though about making the forum software "XHTML Strict"?

Craig, I addressed the ongoing support question in another message some time ago. I asked Daan about this several months ago via an email message, and he wrote the following to me on May 27, 2008. From what he states below, I am given the impression that SFP will not receive any serious attention, if any at all, at least until next year, if even then. Please note that I am not speaking for Daan; I am just sharing what he told me personally back in May of this year:
The truth is that …

Excuse me, but it seems to me that you may be posting your message on the wrong messageboard. This forum is the support board for SimpleForum Pro. I just went to your website as per the above URL, and you appear to be using something called Simple:Press Forum - Version 3.1.3 (Build 356). That is not the same as SimpleForum Pro, and does not even look the same at all.

403 is indicative of an access error. In other words, it would appear that your permissions and/or ownership may possibly be set incorrectly. If you are certain that your ISP has given you permission to use a cgi bin with your website, then you should re-read the SFP setup file and make certain that the simpleforum_pro.cgi script, as well as the simpleforum_files directory have the proper permissions. You may also have to set your images directory outside of your cgi bin.

Hi guys, I'm loving simpleforum! My forum is at: http://www.audioscribbler.co.uk/?page_id=1481 However, I have just one problem. In firefox, my forum looks perfect, just how I want it. However, in Internet Explorer, it shows a grey border around the tables. I've searched for every value with #cccccc and tried changing them but I can't see to get it like it does in firefox! I've attatched the CSS style. Would appreciate some help, thanks. http://www.audioscribbler.co.uk/wp-content/plugin …

Richard, Your comment 'hopefully will be available soon' suggests that support is on-going -- contrary to some comments about a year ago about the future for SF being uncertain. Can you clarify how actively updates & changes are being made? My apologies if I would have found this in FAQ's or elsewhere; I just landed on this topic and decided to ask... Craig
